Take a Horseback Ride
Through Tropical Paradise
The valley mountains have been the backdrop for famous Hollywood films like Jurassic Park, Mighty Joe Young, Pearl Harbor, and Windtalkers.
Culturally rich and overlooking beautiful Kaneohe Bay, this horseback ride into the south side of the ranch will round out a full experience of Kualoa. And for the more experienced riders, take in both sides of the ranch. After riding into Kaaa'wa Valley, go to the southern half of the ranch.
Riders are cautioned to follow instructions from the tour leader about safe speeds and staying on the trails. Ride at your own risk.
Choose From Two Exciting Horseback Adventures:
1-Hour Horseback Ride
Takes you on a journey along the beautiful Koolau Mountain Range offering panoramic views of Kaneohe Bay, an ancient Hawaiian fishpond, Chinaman's Hat Island, and the vast Pacific Ocean.
2-Hour Horseback Ride
Ride past World War II bunkers into the Hollywood movie set, and also offers a longer expedition back into breathtaking Kaaawa Valley. The lush green valley provides dramatic scenery - you'll be awe-struck by the Koolau mountains that stare down at you on both sides. (For 1:30pm pickup only.)
An exciting ride through Oahu's oldest and largest cattle ranch, deep into the valley where "Jurassic Park" and other feature films were made! Explore the wondrous beauty of Kaaawa Valley mounted on your own steed!
Expert Kualoa Ranch guides will escort you up the mountainside on trails that pass World War II bunkers and then down into a lush, green valley surrounded by the dramatic Kualoa Mountains.
