Enjoy an expert narration and beautiful Kauai sightseeing including Waimea Canyon. Learn about Hawaiian history and culture and experience the beauty of Waimea Canyon in the surrounding native forest and Kokee State Park, a uniquely beautiful ecosystem, home to many endemic plants and birds. You will also go off the beaten track behind the locked gates of Grove Farm Plantation and see the best of Backroads Adventure like the cane tunnel and Kilohana Crater.

On the way up to Kokee State Park you pass through scenic, rural countryside of Kauai. Stop at the major viewpoints along the highway including Waimea Canyon Lookout and Kalalau, which is the largest valley along the Na Pali coast. This incredible scene is at the end of the road at an elevation of 4,200 feet.

Then you'll stop in Kekaha on the way down from Kokee. This is a rest stop but also allows a few minutes for shopping and maybe some ice cream. From Kekaha you will head to Koloa and from there they will unlock the gates and show you the old mill, the cane tunnel through the mountain and then up the top of the Kilohana Crater where you will have a great view of the whole East side of Kauai.

While enjoying the view in Waimea Canyon, your guide will layout a delicious lunch:
• Create your own sandwich selecting from a delicious variety of breads, meats, cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles
• Includes a salad, fresh fruit, chip and Kauai Kookies
• Juices, sodas and water are available throughout the tour
• Special dietary needs are accommodated with advanced notice

The typical tour has 10 or fewer passengers. The small groups and the comfortable vehicles make for an interactive tour. Your questions are welcomed and the conversation can focus on areas of your particular interest
