Join Trilogy Excursions, Maui’s #1 Sailing Company
Spend a perfect day snorkeling or diving with the Trilogy family, Maui’s
oldest and best Sailing company! With numerous awards under our belt,
including the coveted Pookela Award for customer service, it’s no wonder
Trilogy Excursions has been voted the #1 Activity and the #1 sailing
company on Maui. Come aboard one of our high-tech ocean sailing
catamarans, the newest fleet Maui has to offer and make yourself at home
as you get to know our friendly, professional crew.
As the oldest snorkel
and dive tour operator on Maui, Trilogy has the advantage of being able to
launch directly from Kaanapali Beach, allowing many guests to walk from
their hotel or cut drive time in half. Save the drive and spend your time on
the water at Honolua Bay instead!
Visit Honolua Bay for West Maui’s Best Snorkeling
Honolua Bay is a Marine Life Conservation District located on the north western
end of Maui. The beach is actually a rocky one, not sandy, so the best way to
visit this secluded Maui cove is from a boat. No fishing of any kind is allowed here
making for a sea life density and diversity that is second to none on the Valley Isle.
Marine life at the Honolua Bay includes endangered and protected Hawaiian Green
Sea Turtles and a variety of reef fish, including Butterfly fish, parrot fish, Moorish
Idol, tang, wrasse, box fish, trigger fish, goat fish, snapper, snowflake eels, and
invertebrates.
If you are lucky, you may even spot the former Hawaii State Fish
Humuhumunukunukuapuaa, Spinner Dolphins and, even Humpback Whales (April-Dec).
Many of these fish are endemic to Hawaiian waters and can be seen nowhere else
in the world, making this a truly exceptional day of Maui snorkeling and underwater
fun for the entire family. Honolua Bay is also one of the top surfing spots Maui has
to offer; watch the point for some real Maui surfers in action!
After a tasty BBQ lunch, we set sail for our second snorkeling destination. The second
site is determined by the weather and by the Captain. Trilogy has several remote
Maui snorkeling destinations on this side of the island and our sailing catamaran
allows us to visit even the most secluded little coves for snorkeling that is truly second
to none! Rest assured that wherever we go, you will be awe-struck!
With a certified Hawaii Marine Naturalist on board, all guests can enjoy a personalized
snorkel tour or venture off on your own for the perfect photo opportunity. Save
some film for our second remote snorkel destination, a secret spot known only
to Trilogy. All snorkel gear is included along with boogie boards, floating noodles
And we even have a water slide for children of all ages. Optical masks are available
at no extra charge.
Work up a Big Appetite and Feed It Maui Style
This snorkel cruise allows you to sleep in a little later with an 8:15am check in.
Climb aboard directly from the sugary sands of Kaanapali Beach, in front of the
Kaanapali Beach Hotel. We make the 1 hour cruise to Honolua Bay under
full sail (wind conditions permitting) as you enjoy a delightful continental
breakfast including Mother Coon’s Homemade Cinnamon Rolls (a 4th generation
Family recipe), baked fresh daily, Trilogy’s exclusive Captains Kona Coffee
Blend, frothy hot cocoa and fresh Maui Pineapple juice.
Once at our first snorkel destination, we fire up the grill and begin preparation of
our Local Style Teriyaki BBQ chicken lunch; a feast fit for Hawaiian Ali’i (royalty).
Enjoy lunch at your leisure before we depart for our second “secret” snorkel spot.
Icy cold beverages and snacks are available all day.
Convenient check in at 8:15am allows even the late riser to enjoy this snorkel
Tour. Experience the thrill of a full Maui Tradewind sail as we head back to
Kaanapali for a 2:45pm return. Your belly will be full, your body will be tired
and you will be ready for a well-deserved nap!
Due to Hawaii State Law Trilogy does not serve alcohol. Guest over 21, with
valid photo ID are welcome to BYOB; we’ll keep it cold for you. Be sure to
wear your swimsuit and bring towels and plenty of sunscreen as the Maui sun
can be intense! Don’t forget your underwater camera and plenty of film.
