Wailea's First Golf Course ...
And Most Forgiving
The first golf course built in South Maui's Wailea - the stately Old Blue - has been ranked among America's best resort golf courses by Golf Digest. Although challenging for some of the finest professional players in the world, it also offers wider fairways and large greens for the less skilled.
Old Blue has hosted such prestigious events as the LPGA Women's Kemper Open and Japan's Asahi-Kyosen pro/celebrity golf tournament.
Old Blue was designed to appeal to a broad range of players.
Like its sister courses, the worst hazards on the Old Blue are the visual ones: the sapphire Pacific Ocean (where one can enjoy humpback whales breaching during the winter months), Molokini, Kahahoolawe and Lanai offshore islands, and the red volcanic cinder cone called Pu'u Olai.
Play amidst spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and 10,000-foot Mt. Haleakala volcano. Wailea's Old Blue features several lakes and fountains and is abloom with radiant hibiscus, bougainvillea, plumeria as well as wiliwili trees.
