Enjoy a Trip Back in Time on Horseback
Located in the West Maui Mountains, this stable is a real working ranch where the hands all refer to themselves as Paniolos (Hawaiian for cowboys). This adventure hits the trail twice daily and meanders into the rainforest for stunning, panoramic views of the Eki Crater and some of Maui’s largest waterfalls. Winding your way down the trail through the pastures of the ranch you'll see Hawaiian taro patches and plantation homes as you make your way through grazing cattle along the Waihee Valley.

Here, breathtaking views of the rugged Maui Coastline and the salt spray on your face will satisfy even the seasoned equestrian. Imagine having your picture taken horseback with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop!

Extra Fun for Riders of All Skill Levels
This is a wonderful ride for all skill levels - no experience is necessary. Mendes Ranch has a horse for all levels and allows children to ride their own pony making this an exceptional adventure for families. So bring the kids if they are 7 & older!

Restrictions: No pregnant riders - No children under age 7 - Maximum weight is 250 lbs.

Choose From Two Exceptional Horse Rides
Aloha Horeseback Ride checks in at 8:15am or 12:15pm for a 2-hour ride. Sodas and bottled water are providedto all riders - no lunch is served.

Paniolo Horseback Adventure checks in at 8:15 and 11:15am for a 2-hour ride Enjoy a real Paniolo BBQ lunch of Smoked Beef Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Baked Beans, Cold Salads, Rolls, Fruit Juices, Sodas and Water. Lunch lasts about an hour.
