Tropical Sunset, Balmy Breezes, and a Romantic Dinner, Too
Can't decide what to do or where to go on Maui this evening? Why not
experience the enchantment of a Pacific Whale Foundation
dinner cruise with a full menu of time-honored local Hawaiian favorites,
unobstructed views of historic Lahaina Town, majestic Haleakala, and
the Shores of South Maui all back-lit by the glow of soft pastels in a
dazzling Maui sunset. Add frosty tropical drinks, live entertainment,
dancing under the stars, and maybe a passing whale or two and the stage
is set for a picture-perfect evening filled with fun and the Hawaiian Spirit
of Aloha you are sure to remember for years to come.
As we depart Lahaina Harbor, watch the crystal clear pacific waters for
signs of the Spinner Dolphins who playfully lead the way many evenings.
During the winter months and early spring, the temperate waters off
Maui’s Leeward coasts play host to our most esteemed annual visitors,
the Humpback Whales. Keep your cameras close at hand; these mighty
mammals are here to play and they put on some of the most jaw-dropping
shows you will see on Maui or anywhere else on Earth!
Come For a Special Sunset Cruise and Make a Difference
As featured on The Today Show, Oprah Winfrey Show, Jack Hannah's
Animal Adventures, Bill Nye the Science Guy, CNN, The Discovery
Channel, Disney Channel, VH1, BBC, ABC Australia, NHI (Japan) and
CBS Sunday Morning, Pacific Whale Foundation Eco-Adventures is
perhaps best known for their work with Whale Research and their
various snorkel cruises from Maui’s South and West shores.
Since
1980, nearly 2 million people have joined Maui’s Pacific Whale
Foundation’s family of friendly experts on our unique Eco-Adventure
Snorkel, Sunset, and Whale Watching cruises. All profits from our
cruises support Pacific Whale Foundation's education programs on
Maui and throughout the state, along with our work to protect whales,
dolphins, all other marine life and their home – the oceans of Hawaii.
To assist in our mission, we offer you the finest dinner cruise on Maui,
the “Ocean Quest” Dinner Cruise. Come aboard the Ocean Quest, A
high-tech, double-deck, 65’ high power catamaran built with SmoothCat
technology for an ultra-smooth, comfortable ride. Guests sit at their
choice of indoor or outdoor tables designed for 2, 4, or 6 persons.
Although the Ocean Quest is U.S. Coast Guard Certified for 147 persons
the Pacific Whale Foundation will seat at a maximum capacity of 75%
to ensure the comfort of all our guests.
To ensure the most environmentally friendly cruise available in Hawaii,
all Pacific Whale Foundation vessels are powered with Biodiesel fuel,
made from recycled vegetable cooking oils and produced on Maui.
All of our vessels follow a strict wildlife watching code on our trips to
protect marine life. We use biodegradable/compostable plates, cups
and utensils, made with corn starch and sugar cane pulp. We also use
paper products made from 100% post consumer waste paper.
These vessels are served by our Eco-Truck, which also runs on
100% Biodiesel.
Eat, Drink & Be Merry Maui-Style
Your idyllic evening aboard Maui’s Ocean Quest begins with mouth
watering appetizers of Japanese Cucumber with caramelized Sweet
Maui Onion Cream Cheese, Roasted Fresh Island Vegetables in a light
Teriyaki glaze, and a zesty Caesar Salad.
Our dinner buffet includes
such delectable offerings as flame grilled, Certified Angus Steaks with
Jack Daniels Glaze, succulent Island Style Teriyaki Chicken, and grilled
Mahi-Mahi (caught fresh daily by local Maui Fishermen) with Hawaiian
Seasonings, Roasted Red Pepper Pasta, Sweet Maui Cane and Pineapple
Fried Rice, and freshly baked Hawaiian Sweet Bread Rolls. Be sure to
save room for dessert; our scrumptious Maui favorite, Island Rum
Macadamia Nut Pie has become a favorite of visitor’s and local Maui
residents alike! There's no such thing as a “skimpy” portion on this
Maui sunset cruise; guests can even enjoy all three entrees if they wish.
All of our food will be served buffet style, on Ocean Quest's professional
style banquet buffet, with built-in refrigeration and warming units to
keep everything at the perfect temperature.
Ocean Quest’s open bar of ice cold beer, wine, Mai Tais, sodas, and local
juices is available throughout the evening. Be sure to try one (or all) of our
new frozen Tropical Drinks: Blue Hawaiian, Chi-Chi, Pina Colada, or our sweet
Island concoction, the Lava Flow. Hawaii State Law requires that all
persons over 21 who are consuming alcohol have photo ID; NO
EXCEPTIONS! If you wish to enjoy the bar, PLEASE, don’t forget your ID.
One child 3 and younger per paying adult. Make a note in the
“Comments” Section of your check out form letting our reservationists
know how many children you have and how old they are so we may
include them in your e-tickets.
If motion sickness is a possibility, you might wish to bring along candied
ginger and/or take one of the numerous commercial products available
at any drug or convenience store on Maui.
Dress is casual. Light sweaters or jackets are recommended as the
evening air on the water can be a little chilly.
