Waikoloa Beach Resort has two courses. The Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is carved through the magnificent lava flows along Anaeho'omalu Bay. King's Course, designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Moorish, features six major lakes and approximately 75 bunkers.
The Mauna Lani North Course emphasizes rolling fairways edged by groves of twisted kiawe trees. The unique South Course has fairways composed of Bermuda grass, lined by a thick rough surrounded by colorful ava rock.
Kona Country Club's Ocean course is situated very close to the shoreline and has a strong crosswind. Golfers on the Bay Course find themselves playing over lava tube blow holes, looking over the Pacific Ocean and admiring ancient Hawaiian archeological sites.
Mauna Kea Golf Course, created by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., has dramatic changes in elevation, large undulating greens, and 120 well-placed bunkers. Hapuna Golf offers spectacular views of the Kohala Coast and the Pacific Ocean while majestic mountain viewsw form the backdrop.
