Sunrise at the summit of Haleakala is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Our Hawaii Certified Guide Staff will whisk you away from your hotel in our luxury limo vans to the 10,023 ft. summit of Haleakala, the world’s largest dormant volcano. The anticipation builds as you await the dawn of a new day “on the top of the world” at majestic Puu Ula Ula (Red Hill), the pinnacle of Haleakala.

The sky becomes a kaleidoscope of changing colors as the sun peeps above the horizon. First light often receives a standing ovation from the crowd and reveals a 360-degree view encompassing the Big Island, West Maui, Lanai, Molokai and beyond. The Haleakala Visitors Center offers breathtaking panoramas from the rim of the crater. Don’t forget your camera or video equipment.

After witnessing the spectacle of a stunning Maui Haleakala Sunrise, you will descend the arid slopes at a leisurely pace. Photo opportunities abound as we make numerous stops within the park at different elevations for stellar picture-postcard views and in-depth narration. You might even catch a rare glimpse of the majestic Silver Sword plants, found nowhere else in the world!

Once out of the Park, you will have some time at Upcountry Maui’s Sunrise Market Place to observe the many different varieties of Protea Flowers grown at 3,500 feet elevation, before we stop for a full country breakfast at one of Upcounty Maui’s beautiful mountain lodges. By the time you return to your hotel, all of your senses will be sated, and you'll surely be ready for a nap!
